Officers arrest man after shooting in Tamarac

TAMARAC, Fla. – A 67-year-old man was charged Thursday at the Fort Lauderdale Main Jail in connection with a shooting in Tamarac.

Broward Sheriff’s Office officers responded to North Nob Hill Road in the Southampton section of Tamarac on Wednesday afternoon.

“A preliminary investigation revealed that an adult male fired a shot into a window of a residence,” Carey Codd, a spokesman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office, wrote in a statement Thursday.

Officers arrested Franklin Goldman, who was accused of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

“No one was hit by the gunfire,” Codd wrote.

Officials did not disclose a motive and asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
