Man in critical condition after Winona shooting, second man in custody – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – Winona Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Thursday morning in Winona.

According to a news release from the Winona Police Department (WPD), emergency services responded to reports of shots fired around 4:30 a.m

They arrived at the scene of the accident at a residence in the 300 block of W 10th St.

WPD found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Winona for treatment, authorities said.

According to the press release, the man is in critical condition.

According to WPD, a second Winona man was taken into custody from the scene for questioning.

Winona police say they are actively investigating the shooting incident. Additionally, WPD believes this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
