Police arrest two people and seize firearms in Long Beach

Police arrested two suspects and recovered at least two firearms in an arrest in Long Beach, authorities said Thursday.

Long Beach Police Department officers were called to the 6100 block of Atlantic Avenue at 1:44 a.m. Wednesday for reports of a group of people passing around weapons, police said.

Officers arrested the people in the group, then discovered that two of the suspects were in possession of a firearm and took the firearms from them, police said.
