COLD START: Here are some temperatures across Alabama just before sunrise

With abundant sunshine, temperatures will reach the upper 60s across northern Alabama and the low to mid 70s across the south. It will be cold again tonight and many north/central Alabama communities will see some frost again tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow will be a sunny day with high temperatures in the 70s.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Sunny, pleasant days, fairly cool nights with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s. And the warming trend continues next week with low 80s midweek. Dry air means no rain.

DRY: Today marks the 19th consecutive day of no rain across most of Alabama.

TROPICS: Showers and thunderstorms remain disorganized associated with a low pressure system located several hundred miles east of the Leeward Islands. Environmental conditions appear to be only partially conducive to slow development as the disturbance is moving rapidly west to west-northwest at about 20 mph, near the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Friday and near the Greater Antilles over the weekend passes by. NHC has reduced the probability of development to 30 percent.

FOOTBALL WEATHER: Perfect weather for high school football games across Alabama tomorrow night. Clear skies with temperatures around 60°C at kickoff, dropping to 50°C in the second half.

On Saturday, Auburn plays Missouri in Columbia (kickoff at 11 a.m. CT). Skies will be sunny and temperatures will rise from near 68 degrees at kickoff to low 70s in the second half.

Alabama will be in Knoxville to take on Tennessee (kickoff 2:30 p.m. CT), it will be a sunny day. About 70 degrees at kickoff, dropping to 60 degrees in the fourth quarter.

And UAB will be in Tampa to play South Florida (kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT). The weather will be sunny and warm, with temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
