Border Country Sports Report – October 17th

Good morning! At Border Country Sports Report, I’m Keith Harrington.

Bolton-Warrensburg, Corinth advance to the ADK title game

Bolton-Warrensburg and Corinth advance to the Adirondack League boys soccer championship game with wins on Wednesday.

BW defeated Lake George 1-0 in double overtime.

Sullivan Eager scored the game-winning goal in the second OT session with an assist from Louis Lang.

Keith Sonley earned the shutout with 10 saves. Marty Farrell had 19 saves for the Lakers.

Bolton-Warrensburg is 8-0, 15-0, Lake George is 3-3-2, 4-9-2.

In the other semifinal game, Corinth scored a goal in each half to make Fort Ann 2-0.

Hunter Shanahan and Tristan Lozier scored for the Riverhawks.

Sam Tangora contributed an assist.

Owen Baker stopped five shots to record the shutout for Corinth. Hunter Wade had 13 saves for the Cardinals.

Corinth improves to 6-1-1, 11-3-1. Fort Ann falls to 5-3, 8-6-1.

The championship game will be played in Schuylerville on Saturday evening at 7 p.m.

Hartford overruns the Golden Horde

Hartford scored four goals in each half and defeated Granville 8-0 in the Adirondack League tournament.

Landon Cook scored four goals for the Tanagers.

Gabe Durkee scored two goals and had two assists. Jake Jansen had a goal and an assist. Daniel Peterson added an assist.

Daman Duhame had 11 saves in the shutout for Hartford.

Hartford is now 3-4-1, 4-6-2.
