A new action-packed thriller takes off and brings a fresh twist to holiday cinema.

“Carry-On,” starring Taron Egerton as a TSA agent, hits Netflix on December 13 and promises a high-stakes adventure. The film follows Egerton’s character, who is blackmailed by a mysterious man, played by Jason Bateman, into leaving a dangerous package on board a plane on Christmas Day.

The film, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, known for directing Liam Neeson thrillers such as Non-Stop and The Commuter, puts the spotlight on a TSA agent – an everyday figure who becomes embroiled in a deadly conspiracy becomes. Egerton, best known for his action roles in the Kingsman series, returns to the genre as the lead, while Bateman takes on an unexpected villainous role.

The recently released trailer hints at a thrilling, adrenaline-fueled ride, contrasting Netflix’s usual holiday selection of romantic comedies with a darker, more intense approach to holiday storytelling. The teaser sets the tone by highlighting the contrast between the millions of people who travel safely every Christmas and the danger posed by this particular flight. Brief glimpses of the action – both inside the airport and beyond – show chases and fights, adding to the fast-paced energy.
