Bohemia used a live concert to announce Arma 4’s release in 2027

Bohemia Interactive chose an unusual location to announce its next big game: a concert.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Czech studio Bohemia Interactive has put together a concert of video game music performed by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. The concert included songs from the Arma series as well as DayZ, Ylands and Vigor.

But the big surprise of the evening was a blink of an eye and you’ll miss the announcement that Arma 4 will be released in 2027. At the end of the final part of the evening, the game’s logo and release window flashed on the big screen, barely lingering behind the orchestra for more than a second, but it was long enough to capture the attention of the live audience and livestream chat to attract attention.

Arma is Bohemia’s hugely successful PC military shooter, first released in 2006. Arma 3 launched in 2013, with the latest version, the standalone Arma Reforger, appearing in early access form in 2022 before a version 1.0 hit the market last year.

Of course, 2027 is still three years away, and it’s fair to say that Arma fans were hoping that Arma 4 would come out before then. There’s already a flood of memes about GTA 6 releasing before Arma 4, and we haven’t even hinted that Arma 4 might be delayed. The question is: which consoles will Arma 4 appear on when it releases in 2027?
