Onslow County officials are searching for counterfeit money suspects

HUBERT, Onslow County – Law enforcement in Onslow County is asking the public for help identifying counterfeit money suspects.

Onslow County officers were called to investigate the passing of a counterfeit $100 bill on Sept. 22 at the Dollar General on Old Highway 172 in Hubert.

Officials said the two suspects pictured fled the scene before officers arrived. Video footage shows two male suspects driving off in a newer black Ford F-250. One suspect is described as a black male wearing a white T-shirt, gray shorts, a baseball cap, sunglasses with socks and flip flops. The other suspect appears to be a white male with a mustache and beard. He was wearing a T-shirt, shorts, work boots and sunglasses.
