Men’s Tennis Preview: ITA Texas Regionals

Waco, Texas – Six members of Texas Men’s Tennis will compete in the ITA Texas Regional Championships at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco from October 17-22.

Freshmen Calvin Wang, Evan Burnett And Rahul Sachdev will all begin Thursday in singles qualifiers, with Wang facing Rice’s Joshua Mandelbaum at 8 a.m. CT, while Burnett and Sachdev have first-round byes. Burnett will then play a second-round game at 11 a.m. CT, and Sachdev will take the field at 12 p.m. CT

Three more Longhorns will start in the main draw Friday, including junior No. 29 Jonah BraswellSophomore #124 Lucas Brownand freshmen Timo Legout.

The doubles draws will be announced at a later date with play starting on Friday, while the full tournament draw and results can be found here in the tournament hub. There will be no live stats, but there will be a live video of the top six finishes, which can be found here.
