CONTAINERS WITH CHILDREN’S THINGS, WEAPON SAFE, STOLEN: Sarah via email that a visitor discovered that “his truck parked near Fairmount Park on 40th Avenue SW was broken into last night.” His gun (which was in a locked safe) and a black Costco rubber container with a bright yellow lid were stolen. He is particularly sad about the trash can because it contained all of his children’s clothes, stuffed animals, and Legos (they are in the process of moving). I hope someone threw it away because it was pretty heavy.”

Speaking of safes: Another reader reports that he found this:

Is a company missing its safe? Probably sometime late on Sun/Mon. disposed of. Found in an alley between 17th and 18th Avenue SW, near Trenton St.
