Free Philly Cheesesteaks opens the doubleheader on Thursday

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — The UNLV Soccer Foundation will host a tailgate with free Philly cheesesteaks and drinks before the UNLV Soccer doubleheader at Peter Johann Memorial Field on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. UNLV women’s soccer begins at 5:30 p.m. against Colorado State and the Rebel men’s team follows at 8:00 p.m. against UTRGV.

The UNLV women’s team (6-6-2, 4-1-1) enters the game with one win and one tie after a four-point weekend on the road in the Mountain West. They play the Rams (8-3-3, 4-0-2), who suffered two 1-1 draws.

On the men’s side, the Rebels (3-6-3, 0-1-3) look to build on their undefeated WAC weekend of competition after securing ties at Seattle and San Jose State. They will face an up-and-coming Vaqueros team (3-5-2, 1-1-1) that earned a 5-1 victory over Air Force and added a tie in its last two contests.

Single game tickets are $6 per adult if purchased prior to game day, $10 or $8 for seniors, faculty, staff and alumni at the door. Admission is free for high school students (with a student ID) up to 12 years old or younger.
