NASCAR: Joe Gibbs Racing announces two full-time driver contracts for 2025

Joe Gibbs Racing has a significant addition to its NASCAR for the upcoming 2025 season

First, nineteen-year-old Taylor Gray will be a full-time competitor, driving the No. 54 Toyota GR Supra for the team.

Commenting on his impending move, Gray said:

“I am very grateful for this opportunity. I feel like I’ve learned a lot in the races I’ve done this year and that we can build on that next season. Being able to work with Tyler (Allen, crew chief) and those guys.” A few races were a great head start for next season and got the chemistry going. So I’m really excited to see what we can achieve together as full-time runners.”

Gray’s collaboration with crew chief Tyler Allen has already begun, laying the foundation for a successful partnership in 2025.

Steve de Souza, executive vice president of Xfinity Series and Development at Joe Gibbs Racing, also commented:

“We look forward to adding Taylor to our lineup full-time next year. Taylor’s strong season in the Truck Series and his performance with us on the Xfinity side was impressive. With Taylor in the Xfinity car every week in 2025, we expect this trend to continue and we look forward to seeing him compete for wins and the championship.”

Second, Joe Gibbs Racing also announced the return of Brandon Jones to its roster for the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series. Jones, who previously competed with JGR from 2018 to 2022, returns to the team after two years with JR Motorsports.

Upon his return, Jones shared:

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Joe Gibbs Racing and rejoining the Toyota Racing family.

“My time at JGR has been some of the most rewarding of my career and I can’t wait to build on this success as we strive for more wins and a championship together. I’m ready to hit the ground running and make the most of it.” incredible opportunity.
