Home furnishings and wallcoverings company “Schumacher” has announced an exciting new collaboration with Colombian designer “Johanna Ortiz,” using her signature South American flair to create a line of fashionable wallcoverings and textiles. Known for its vibrant runway designs, the Ortiz with Schumacher collection features a range of fabrics, wall coverings and embellishments, all informed by her tropical aesthetic and homage to Colombia’s rich biodiversity.

The collaboration showcases Ortiz’s expertise in the use of pattern and color, with hand-drawn designs, lush motifs and cultural references from her home country. Highlights include the “Amazonas Mystique,” ​​an intricate nature-inspired design, and the “Tayrona Palm Mosaic,” based on ancient techniques for depicting tropical imagery. Palm trees, an important muse for Ortiz, feature prominently throughout the collection, celebrating the beauty of Colombia’s landscapes.
