Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network brings Pels games to Acadiana with Lafayette deal

LAFAYETTE, La. (WVUE) – New Orleans Pelicans games will be broadcast free and over-the-air in Acadiana this season as Gray Media’s new Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network announced a deal with Delta Media Corporation on Wednesday (Oct. 16).

With the new partnership, all non-televised Pelicans games in Lafayette will be broadcast on The Action Channel KXKW 32.1. Regular-season coverage begins with the Pelicans’ home opener next Wednesday (Oct. 23) against the Chicago Bulls, tipoff at 7 p.m. at the Smoothie King Center.

“I reached out to Gray Media over a month ago and am pleased that we have agreed to carry the New Orleans Pelicans on one of our signals,” said Johnette Cochran, general manager and vice president of Delta Media Corporation. “KXKW 32.1 The Action Channel will be the home of the New Orleans Pelicans in Acadiana this year and I am thrilled about this partnership.”
