Georgia vs. Texas Updated Betting Odds: Longhorns climb as favorites

An updated look at the betting odds for the highly anticipated game between Georgia and Texas.

On October 19th, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Texas Longhorns will face a historic regular season duel, with the two top 10 teams meeting as SEC opponents for the first time in college football history. Although the game is less than a week away, Vegas has already begun changing the betting odds for this highly anticipated conference matchup.

According to Draft Kings Sportsbook, the Bulldogs are now 5 point underdogs to the Longhorns after their win over Mississippi State and Texas’ win over Oklahoma. The line initially started with Texas as a 2.5-point favorite. The over/under for this match is currently 55.5 points.

The Longhorns defeated the Bulldogs in their last meeting, which came at the end of the 2018 season in the Sugar Bowl. Texas, led by quarterback Sam Ehlinger, took an early lead, staving off the Bulldogs’ efforts and finishing the game with a 28-21 victory.

This likely won’t be the last time the line moves before Saturday’s kickoff, as it has continued to move throughout the week. Kick-off for this competition is currently scheduled for 7:30 p.m. College Gameday also announced that they will be on site for the game.
