“Mark Duplass’ serial killer is back in the new six-part horror anthology series”

What time is it? Tubby time! That’s right, folks – after a seven-year absence, Mark Duplass’ sadistic serial killer and his alter ego Peachfuzz are back. Spin-off of Patrick Brice’s 2014 found footage horror film Creep and its underrated 2017 sequel Creep 2 – Both followed the unnamed psychopathic murderer of Duplass, who used Craigslist ads to lure unsuspecting victims to his isolated home – The Creep Tapes is a six-part anthology horror series that aims to reveal more about the wolf mask killer’s gruesome home videos. Check out the trailer below:

“I want to be 100% honest with you,” Duplass says in a classic Creep Style self-adhesive tape: “I can stay a bit… in the moment.” And to give him his due, he’s not lying – if by “in the moment” of course we mean dressing up as various strange characters, clueless videographers for one Lure huge prizes to your home and then play with them brutally and senselessly, chopping them to pieces. And that’s exactly what director Patrick Brice seems to be suggesting to us here based on this darkly comic first trailer for the show, which features blood splatters, wild eyes, wolf masks and dodgy wigs galore – all shot on an ultra-low budget, gonzo style, as well Duplass and Brice’s DIY horror art.

“A little over ten years ago, Patrick Brice and I spent a week together in my cabin with a small digital camera,” producer and star Duplass said in a statement today. “We came out with a found footage horror film that was so incredibly strange and unpleasant that we assumed no one would see it. Continuing this unholy legacy in series format is a nightmare come true.”

And with The Creep Tapes Set to debut on Shudder on November 15th, this true nightmare will soon become a reality. Attention – Peachfuzz is here! Awooooooooooooo!
