The director of TERRIFIER 3 reveals that the film’s funniest moment was improvised

Although we’re sure the humor won’t be to everyone’s taste, yes, horror 3 can be quite funny!

This franchise may be best known for its sickening violence, but the trilogy is shot through with a pitch-black humor, and some of Art the Clown’s antics can be truly hilarious.

Near the end of the film, Art and the demonically possessed Victoria capture Sienna, tie the beleaguered final girl to a chair, and force her to watch as they torture and kill her aunt (if you’re curious, you can find out how). Now director Damien Leone has revealed that the slaps that day were improvised.

“That was something I spontaneously told David on set every time he passed Lauren because I felt like the finale was too dark and we needed some levity.” The filmmaker posted on X.

This has been confirmed horror 4 is in the works, and Leone hinted in an interview with what he has in store for what could be the final film in the series diversity.

“It will certainly be an epic showdown, an epic conclusion to this Art the Clown saga.” he says. “The idea I’m toying with in my head would probably be the most experimental in some ways, so I can’t get too involved with it. Some really, really crazy things are going to happen in the next part.”
