Taylor Gray to lead Xfinity full time with JGR in 2025

Taylor Gray will drive the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025, the team announced Oct. 16.

Gray has made nine Xfinity starts with JGR this season, with three top-10 finishes, including a third-place finish in his debut at Richmond Raceway.

He will work with crew chief Tyler Allen, who has guided the No. 20 JGR to eight victories this season.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity,” Gray said in a team statement. “I feel like I’ve learned a lot in the races I’ve done this year and that we can build on that next season.” The opportunity to work with Tyler and these guys for a few races, was a big lead for next season and meant that the chemistry was right. So I’m really excited to see what we can accomplish together full-time.”

Gray is currently completing his first full-time season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at TRICON Garage. Gray is one of the eight remaining playoff drivers with eleven top-10 finishes.

“We look forward to adding Taylor to our program full-time next year,” added Steve de Souza, EVP of the Xfinity Series and Development at JGR. “Taylor’s strong season in the Truck Series and his performance with us on the Xfinity side was impressive. With Taylor in the Xfinity car every week in 2025, we expect this trend to continue and we look forward to seeing him compete for wins and the championship.”

Gray is the second driver announced for JGR’s 2025 Xfinity program, joining Brandon Jones.
