New museum opens at MGM Macau

Poly MGM Museum, a new cultural experience supported by innovative technologiesis scheduled to open in November at the MGM Macau Resort.

The new museum is a collaboration between MGM China and Poly Culture – the arts and culture development unit of China Poly Group.

Via a press release, Poly MGM Museum will be the first world-class museum within an integrated resort (IR) in the Greater China region.

The 2,000 square meter venue showcases national treasures as well as modern and contemporary works by Chinese and international artists.

The Museum innovative Features include movable LED screens and flexible display panels to create a dynamic exhibition space. Some of the most advanced technologies used in the venue include Poly’s proprietary OLED screens for interactive displays and directional audio systems.

Wang BoChairman of Poly Culture, said the Poly MGM Museum is “a place to promote world-class Chinese culture and showcase the splendor of intangible cultural heritage.”

It will also serve as a “confluence for cultural and artistic exchanges, promoting dialogue and mutual enrichment between civilizations.”

He added: “This is particularly inspiring given the location in Macau – a historic critical junction on the Maritime Silk Road and within the Greater Bay Area, a pioneer of ChinaThe connection to the world.

World class museum in IR

“Looking forward, the Poly MGM Museum aims to be an important link between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, enriching our historical heritage and opening a new chapter in the narrative of Chinese civilization.”

Pansy HoChairman and CEO of MGM China Holdings, said the museum will “breathe new life into the storied heritage of Chinese culture using cutting-edge technology.”

MGM China is a leading developer, owner and operator of casino resorts in the Greater China region. The company is considering one Expansion of MGM Cotai in Macau with the addition of more hotel rooms and new wellness experiences.
