Bitterroot | David Fincher’s crime western will reportedly begin filming in 2025

After months of competing rumors, a leading contender for director David Fincher’s next film has reportedly emerged: the crime western Bitterroot.

While there has been a flurry of rumors over the past week about the nature of Christopher Nolan’s mysterious next project, David Fincher is no slouch about this game either. The American filmmaker has been keeping us guessing for months about what direction Fincher’s follow-up to last year’s film will take The murderer will take. However, it looks like an end to the ongoing speculation may finally be in sight. A decade ago there were plans for Gilio to direct the film himself, but that never happened. Last we heard, two offers have been made to the film’s lead actors, but there is no news on the same yet. Given that this is the only original story that was believed to have been on Fincher’s development plan, we’re glad that this is the one that appears to have come to fruition. If we want to see Squid game or one of those Hitchcock films, we can already enjoy them.
