Springfield, Massachusetts – October 15, 2024 – We leave the bye week with a record of 5-0. The Springfield College football team ranked No. 25 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches Poll.

After its fifth straight win of the 2024 campaign, Springfield is now ranked No. 25 nationally, marking the program’s highest national ranking in the poll since the final week of the 2022 season, when it was ranked No. 25 nationally. Springfield is one of two teams from New England ranked in the Top 25 in the AFCA poll and is also one of two from that region among the 43 programs receiving votes in the D3football.com Top 25 poll. Springfield also remained atop the 2024 Grinold Chapter New England Division III Football Rankings for the second straight week, with the Pride receiving nine of 11 first-place votes.

Springfield currently has the best rushing offense in all of college football as it ranks first among the 661 programs that play football across all of NCAA Division I (FBS & FCS), III and III with 468 yards per game. With 50.8 points per game, the Pride ranks seventh in Division III in offense. The offense has been impressive and is currently leading the country in sacks allowed (0), passes intercepted (0), third down conversion percentage (63.6%) and second in passing yards per completion (26). ,6)

Springfield will return home next Saturday to take on MIT at Stagg Field beginning at noon.
