Tech-Georgia will compete at The Benz in 2025

ATHENS, Ga. – The 2025 game between Georgia and Georgia Tech will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, according to an announcement Tuesday.

The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will face off at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at a time to be determined. After the 2026 game in Athens, the two teams will return to Bobby Dodd Stadium on the Georgia Tech campus in 2027.

“We always enjoy playing in a premier venue like Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” said J. Reid Parker Athletics Director Josh Brooks. “This move will only enrich the long-standing tradition of the Georgia-Georgia Tech game and provide our fans with another outstanding event.”

This season, Georgia hosts Georgia Tech at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium on Friday, November 29th at 7:30 p.m. ABC will televise the showdown.

The No. 5 Bulldogs (5-1, 3-1 Southeastern Conference) travel to Austin this week to face No. 1 Texas (6-0, 2-0 SEC). Saturday’s matchup will be televised on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.
