Dramatists Play Service, Broadway Licensing Global’s play licensor, has announced the addition of three titles to its catalog, including Kate Douglas’ The bee house.

Set 22 years in the future, The bee house follows two laboratory researchers as they devise a plan to restore the endangered honey bee population. Second Stage Theater presented the world premiere of the work earlier this year.

“We are very pleased to welcome you The bee house added to the DPS catalog,” Ted Chapin, CEO of Broadway Licensing Global, said in a statement. “Kate Douglas has an extraordinary voice, and this piece in particular addresses universal themes with remarkable beauty and humor. It is an honor to bring this work to theaters of all sizes.”
