The first frost of the season is possible on Wednesday morning

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — Tuesday will be the coldest day of the extended FOX19 NOW First Alert forecast.

It will be rainy and chilly for the morning commute, with low temperatures around 44 degrees.

Afternoon highs will be in the mid-50s under mostly cloudy skies.

Then early Wednesday we could see the first frost of this fall season.

Cover your delicate plants or bring them indoors on Tuesday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued one FREEZE NOTICE And Frost warning for our entire viewing area from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Morning lows will fall into the low to mid 30s through Wednesday with clear skies and light winds.

Afternoon highs will climb back into the upper 50s under sunny skies and push into the lower to mid 60s by Thursday.

BLINK Cincinnati, the country’s largest outdoor light festival, returns Thursday at 7 p.m.

Conditions appear to be moderate, with temperatures in the upper 50s and skies clear.

Warmer temperatures will arrive next weekend.

Morning lows will return to the 40s, afternoon highs will return to the low 70s.

There could be some rainfall next week, but it doesn’t appear to be widespread or drastic.

Temperatures will remain nearly above normal for the next few days through the last weekend of October.
