Vote for the Delmarva Now Player of the Week from October 7th to 13th

Each week this high school sports season, fans across Delmarva will have the opportunity to vote for the Delmarva Now Player of the Week.

Nominees will be selected based on their performance over the last seven days (October 7-13).

Anyone can submit a candidate for consideration by emailing [email protected]. You must email the athlete’s name, school, sport, and stats from that week.

Votes will only be counted from the poll listed below. Do not send your vote via email.

Voting begins on Monday and ends on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Below is a breakdown of each athlete’s week. The winner will be announced on the Delmarva Now Facebook page.

Delmarva Now Player of the Week poll October 7-13

Here are this week’s nominees:

Noah Blankensop (James M. Bennett Boys Soccer)

Scored four goals in a win over Kent Island last week.

Zakai Smullen (James M. Bennett Football)

Scored four touchdowns, two rushing, one passing and one receiving touchdown in the win over North Caroline last week.

Eden Hirsch (Parkside Field Hockey)

Made four saves in the triple overtime win over Washington and stopped three Washington attempts during 1-on-1 overtime to earn the win.

Violet Harris-Blackburn (Snow Hill Girls Soccer)

Scored five goals in a win over Wicomico last week.
