1 injured in overnight shooting in Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — One person was seriously injured after an overnight shooting in Glendale, and police are still investigating exactly what happened.

Glendale police officers responded just before 2 a.m. Monday to reports of multiple gunshots being heard in a neighborhood near 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Callers reported people fleeing the area.

Officers found a person who was believed to have suffered a serious, life-threatening injury from a gunshot. Officers performed life-saving measures and the person was taken to the hospital.

The scene remains very active as police investigate. There are no major road closures in the area.
