Two people were arrested after the shooting led to a standoff in OKC

Two suspects have been arrested after a fatal shooting overnight that led to a standoff in Del City.

Police were in the parking lot of a liquor store near Northwest 83rd Street and Western Avenue Saturday evening and found a man shot to death.

Early Sunday, officers spotted a vehicle linked to the murder and led them to a home near Southeast 23rd Street and Del Road.

“Santa Fe officers located a vehicle this morning in the 9000 block of Western Avenue that is believed to be connected to a homicide that occurred last night,” said Sgt. Jon Skuta with the Oklahoma State Police City.

After a lengthy standoff, negotiators were able to resolve the situation peacefully

“There were two people still in the house. Our captors were on scene and were able to get them out of the house pretty quickly,” Skuta said.

The suspects and victim have not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
