Huzzah! The Texas Renaissance Festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary!

TODD ​​MISSION, Texas – Gentlemen and ladies, it is once again time to make the journey to Todd Mission for an annual tradition now in its 50th year.

The Texas Renaissance Festival opens Saturday, October 12th.

For those who haven’t been, the Texas Renaissance Festival takes you back to the Middle Ages for a weekend of family-friendly fun.

There is something for everyone. We’re talking about delicious food like the world-famous turkey legs. For the older people there is the equally famous mead.

There are also fantastic displays of chivalry and skill from the country’s glorious knights, a court jester sure to get a lot of laughs, and even a falconer!

The Texas Renaissance Festival runs from October 12th to December 1st. The festival is open only Saturdays and Sundays, except the Friday after Thanksgiving.
