Arc Search for Android is now available in beta

After The Browser Company announced its launch in late August, Arc Search is now officially available in early beta for Android.

Arc Search is an alternative mobile browser specifically designed to provide a streamlined, distraction-free web browsing experience. While design, animations and user experience are key selling points, it also offers plenty of built-in AI features with features like the controversial “Browse for Me”. This combines information from multiple websites into a single page by generating an “answer” to your first search query.

There is also a native ad blocker built in. The Browser Company says it limits intrusive ads, trackers, banners, and can even block GDPR pop-ups. This could be one of the main reasons why many people have been waiting for Arc Search for Android.

Another notable feature is the automatic archiving feature. When you use Arc Search as your default browser, all inactive tabs are automatically archived when not in use or interacted with. The goal is to keep your browsing experience free of clutter and distraction.

The Browser Company has stated that its goal is to create and offer the “fastest way to search.” one of the “lightest” browsers on mobile devices. The Play Store download is less than 4MB, while the full install is less than 20MB – which is definitely a way to keep your promise. This is even more impressive considering it was built from the ground up for Android by just two developers.

If you want to test Arc Search on your Android device, you can sign up for the beta and download it from the Google Play Store.
