Terese remains confused and unhappy that Paul is avoiding her. To finally pin him down, she drags Susan to the day spa, even though she knows she’ll probably run into him there.

While missing Paul again, Susan goes about her plan and reveals to Terese that Paul is staying away for a very good reason – his feelings are too strong and he doesn’t dare be around her.

Susan hopes this will persuade Terese to keep distance between them, but miserable Terese can’t commit to it and admits that nothing feels as good as Paul’s attention at the moment. Susan is worried about her friend.

Meanwhile, Holly is outraged when Karl allows Felix to stay on the tram to avoid coming into contact with shady criminals at the halfway house. Susan is surprised by Holly’s negativity towards Felix after his heroism in the siege, and Holly is forced to hide her real reason – that he is pushing her to confront her post-traumatic stress disorder.

She later tells Felix that she doesn’t want to hear another word from him on the subject, so he gives her a book about surviving trauma – which she promptly puts in the dishwasher.

Following Remi’s advice to come to the table and talk to Andrew, Wendy finally decides it’s time and prepares a special meal for the occasion. But their timing is off and Andrew is in a bad mood after a disastrous Boylesque rehearsal and now he’s the one who isn’t ready to get involved. His frustrations continue to affect his behavior at work and he receives a reprimand for yelling at a sergeant.

Later, a smart-mouthed suspect harasses him, and Andrew puts the shirt on him and screams in his face – he’s crossed a line that can’t be lifted and he’s suspended.

Even today, Cara learns that she has successfully passed her university course after re-doing the assignment that Dex originally did for her. She is relieved but also amazed when the university offers Dex the opportunity to start studying computer science at an early age while he finishes high school at the same time.

Dex resists at first, insisting that he just wants to be a normal kid and be with his friends. Cara and Remi agree that the social implications could be difficult for him. After consulting with the university, they decide to enroll Dex in a course at an independent college where classes take place outside of school hours a few times a week.
