Do you need cash to pay for gas and groceries? Some banks in the Upstate are limiting hours and services after Helene

Since its arrival in the Upstate, Hurricane Helene has left a trail of destruction in its wake: downed trees and power lines, deaths and damage, and thousands of people searching for gas, food and a place to plug in their laptops and cell phones.

Since internet and WiFi are unavailable or only insufficiently available, many companies only accept cash. Therefore, many are looking for an ATM or the nearest bank location.

Note: This list is updated as of October 2nd. Please contact your bank’s customer service center or branch before visiting or if you require further details.

Greenville County

First citizens’ bank: 2201 Augusta St. Location “expected to open” on October 7th.

Regional bank: 290 S. Pleasantburg Drive closed Wednesday.

District bank: “All Countybank locations in the Upstate are open during normal hours, with limited service.”

Home Trust Bank: Limited services are available via the 499 Woodruff Road thoroughfare.

Limited services are available via the 8599 Pelham Road thoroughfare.

Spartanburg County

Arthur State Bank: The Woodruff Main, Woodruff North, Woodruff South, Roebuck, Union-Monarch and Spartanburg West branches are closed and “awaiting power.”

First Citizens Bank: The location at 450 E. Henry St. is expected to open Oct. 7.

The location at 104 Edgewood St. is expected to open Oct. 7.

United Community Bank: The East Main St., Duncan location will be closed Oct. 2.

District bank: “All Countybank locations in the Upstate are open during normal hours, with ‘limited services.'”

Anderson County

District bank: “All Countybank locations in the Upstate are open during normal hours, with ‘limited services’.”
