There will be no new versions of Safari for Windows because Apple stopped supporting it more than a decade ago. However, you may still be using an older version. Make sure you have version 5.1.7, the most current version compatible with Windows devices. If not, these problems may reoccur and you may need to switch browsers permanently.

To check your version, click the Settings button and then click About Safari. As you can see, the above version is a bit outdated. It’s difficult to update Safari because Apple is removing support for Windows devices. If you find an updated version on an unofficial download website, check reviews before considering downloading. Downloads from unofficial sources can harm your Windows PC.

You can only do this if you still have the .exe file from your original Safari download. Apple no longer supports Safari for Windows machines, so you can’t download Safari directly from them. You can search for Safari for Windows 11 and find the link shown above. However, don’t let this fool you. Clicking on it will take you to a general support page with no download option.

You may be able to download Safari from an unauthorized download site, but always proceed with caution. Unverified downloads may contain viruses and malware.

To uninstall Safari, press Start on your Windows PC. Go to Settings and then Apps. These should be done in alphabetical order. Search for Safari, click the three dots next to the app name, then click Uninstall. When you’re done, locate the .exe file from your original download. Double-click it and follow the on-screen instructions.
