Football fans who watched the Netflix series “Receivers” this summer are far from shocked that Las Vegas Raiders star wideout Davante Adams asked the team to sign him just four weeks into the 2024 season to exchange.

Adams, currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, told the Raiders that he would prefer to be replaced before the league’s November 5 deadline – reflecting his dissatisfaction expressed in the popular documentaries based on the for Adams’ frustrating 2023 season was clearly expressed.

These reports have sparked a lot of speculation about which NFL teams would take a shot at the three-time All-Pro WR, and in the last 24 hours, multiple franchises have sniffed Adams.

This has prompted bookmakers to release Davante Adams odds for his next team. Here’s a look at the favorites and their chances of adding Adams before the trade deadline.

Davante Adams next team favorite

New York Jets (-125)

Adams’ grumbling coincides with Aaron Rodgers’ growing frustration with the New York Jets. These two were the best QB-WR combination in the NFL for many years during their tenure in Green Bay and remained close despite their departures from the Packers.

Although Adams would give the Jets a strong receiving corps, the price for Las Vegas will be very high and New York may not be able to fight back considering Gang Green burned a ton of picks in 2023, to get Rodgers. This could be the second time the NFL team misses out on Adams because it sold the farm for Rodgers.

New Orleans Saints (+300)

It’s not hard to make the connection between Crescent City and No. 17. Look no further than the Fresno State roots between Adams and New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr.

Sure, these two might not have the same college chemistry with the Raiders, but Adams is leaning toward a QB he knows and NOLA is reportedly on his short list of landing spots. New Orleans would have to get creative with Adams’ existing deal to create the cap space and ask the veteran WR to restructure before promising a long-term deal.

Washington Commanders (+300)

Jayden Daniels fever is sweeping the world and even affecting the NFL rumor mill. The Washington Commanders’ rookie QB is the talk of the town and adding Adams to Kliff Kingsbury’s playbook will have happy Commanders fans going to bed with joy.

Washington is looking for another top target in addition to Terry McLaurin and was reportedly in the hunt for 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk this summer. The Commanders have an abundance of cap space and draft picks, as well as a new ownership group ready to prove they’re all in.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+700)

Putting Adams next to Justin Fields or Russell Wilson feels like putting racing tires on a 2011 Toyota Corolla. If he didn’t like Jimmy Garoppolo, Gardiner Minshew or Aiden O’Connell throwing him the ball, the QB situation in the Steel City isn’t much better.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the market for another receiver and have also been far down the rabbit hole with Aiyuk this offseason. The Steelers have reportedly contacted Las Vegas to inquire about their offer, with the Raiders likely seeking a first- or second-rounder and a big-name player.

Popular NFL Futures Markets

Kansas City Chiefs (+1,200)

If the Raiders front office wanted to anger fans any more than they already do, they would trade Adams to the rival Kansas City Chiefs. The fit is there, Kansas City has left behind two top WRs in Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice.

But even though the Chiefs are among the favorites in the Next Team odds table, NFL insiders say Kansas City is not an option for Las Vegas.

Dallas Cowboys (+1,200)

After staying quiet in the offseason, the Dallas Cowboys could be ready to make a roster move after a poor start to 2024. Dallas is reportedly one of the few teams to inquire about Adams following his trade request.

There is a connection between Green Bay and head coach Mike McCarthy, who was with Adams early in his career. Jerry Jones would have to flip a first-rounder and likely sweeten the pot with an additional player, which could turn out to be a 14-week rental for the 31-year-old receiver.
