ParkerStore opens in Huntingburg – Dubois County Free Press, Inc.

“We want to be the ace hardware in the hydraulics, pneumatics and motion controls industries,” said Todd Kesler, director of strategic initiatives and sales services for Air Hydro Power, the company that opened the new ParkerStore in Huntingburg.

Located in the same shopping center as its Houchens Industries affiliates, Ace Hardware and Sheldon’s Pharmacy in Huntingburg, ParkerStore offers hose, fittings, hydraulics, pneumatics and filtration products and services for a variety of industrial and agricultural needs.

The new store will celebrate its grand opening on October 10th with an open house, grand prizes and food from Oink, Inc. The flyer attached below provides more information about the event.

Kesler said Louisville-based Air Hydro Power opened the Huntingburg branch because of its connection to neighboring branches and the availability of customers in the area.

“Huntingburg and Jasper are a nice target area for us with our partner Ace (Hardware),” explained Kesler. “Because we are so well-known in Huntingburg and know we have a lot of underserved customers there, we decided to open a store there.”

“Our plan is to target the retail customers and service the MRO (Maintenance Repair and Operations) and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) markets that we have established there,” Kesler added.

Air Hydro Power franchises ParkerStore in approximately 32 markets nationwide, including four stores in Louisville and one in Evansville.

One area where the business excels is in carrying hard-to-find metric parts for more specialized applications in addition to the thread sizes required for agricultural applications. While you wait, they also make custom hoses.

“We probably have about 3,500 different products on the shelves in the store,” Kesler said, adding that they had access to $20 million worth of inventory overnight or the same day.

The 5,000-square-foot store, located at 1810 North Main Street in Huntingburg, is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The number is (930) 219 – 5833.
