Charter Communications has signed another deal to bring streaming into the cable TV mix.

NBCUniversal and Charter announced a new multi-year distribution agreement that will make the ad-supported streaming service Peacock Premium available to Spectrum TV Select video customers “at no additional cost.”

The addition of Peacock to the Spektrum TV lineup comes after Charter struck similar deals for Disney+ and ESPN+, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max and Discovery+, Paramount Global’s Paramount+ and BET+, AMC Networks’ AMC+ and TelevisaUnivision’s Vix. All told, the cable operator will soon offer Spectrum TV Select video customers up to $65 per month in retail direct-to-consumer streaming value through programming deals signed last year, according to Charter.

Financial terms of the NBCU charter agreement were not disclosed. Under the deal, Charter will continue to offer NBCU’s entire portfolio of broadcast, entertainment, Hispanic, news and sports channels “in the coming months” and will bundle Peacock Premium with Spectrum TV Select.

Charter also allows video customers to upgrade to the ad-free Peacock Premium+ tier. In addition, the operator will offer both Peacock products for purchase to its broadband-only customers in 2025.

“This expansion of our strategic relationship with Charter ensures that Spectrum Video customers continue to have access to the leading media portfolio, whether they watch on traditional television or stream on Peacock,” said Matt Bond, Chairman, Content Distribution, NBCUniversal. “We also achieved our primary goal of completing a deal that recognizes the value of our linear programming and the investments we have made in developing premium content and expands Peacock’s distribution to more consumers. We are pleased to work with Charter to achieve these goals for the benefit of our viewers.”

In addition to adding Peacock Premium to Spectrum Video customers at no additional cost, the distribution agreement ensures that Charter will continue to carry NBC and Telemundo-owned channels Bravo, CNBC, CNBC World, E!, MSNBC, Universo, Oxygen, SYFY, Telemundo Network, Universal Kids, USA Network, The Golf Channel, NBC Sports Regional Networks and New England Cable News. The following channels will be added to the Spectrum TV stream service: Bravo, CNBC, CNBC World, E!, MSNBC, Oxygen, SYFY and Universal Kids.

“With the renewal of our long-standing partnership with NBCUniversal, we have now entered into agreements with all major programmers to offer our customers greater flexibility and greater value by integrating DTC streaming apps into their Spectrum TV service at no additional cost.” said Tom Montemagno, Executive Vice President, Programming Acquisition of Charter.
