Houston family with Israeli roots shares insight into missile attacks from Iran

Sana Zuri lives here in Houston, but most of her family lives in Israel. During an interview with Zuri, she received a video from her family in Israel showing the rocket attacks outside their window.

Zuri translated for us some of the videos that her cousin had sent us.

“He said it’s going down, it’s going down,” Zuri said. “He said rockets! Rockets.”

As she watched these videos with us, she became scared and called her family to make sure they were OK.

Zuri called her cousin first and she told us what was going on.

“A lot of rockets are falling like rain in Acre, Haifa and Tel Aviv, and he says, ‘Yes, it’s Iran. They hit, they bomb,” Zuri said.

FOX 26 Houston is now available on the FOX LOCAL app, available on Apple TV, Amazon FireTV, Roku, Google Android TV, Samsung TV and Vizio!

Zuri also checked on her brother.

“He said Acre, Haifa and Tel Aviv had the missiles, you know, and a lot of problems. But when they hear the rockets coming, they hear the house shaking,” Zuri said. “He says he’s fine, but the kids are scared.”

The Zuri family came to the United States in the 1980s and says it was heartbreaking to watch these attacks unfold while their family was abroad.

“My heart cries, even if my eyes do not cry, my heart cries from within,” said Bensana Zuri. “Most people live in an apartment, we have an apartment. like here. But our apartment is made entirely of concrete and we have special underground rooms. So when there’s a war, they turn on the special siren and everyone goes down and hides. Some people, they.” Since they are still sleeping there, it is very, very difficult for them. We live just 30 minutes from the Lebanese border. We are the first to be hit.
