CNN’s Jim Sciutto shares video of Iranian missile attack on Israel

After Iran fired missiles against Israel on Tuesday, CNN’s Jim Sciutto shared a video of the attacks on social media.

The news channel’s chief national security correspondent posted two videos on Twitter: one with the caption “Missile or missile fragment impacts in downtown Tel Aviv”; and the other: “Several intercepts overhead right now.”

According to CNN, the US Embassy in Israel has warned people to shelter in place until further notice. Sciutto himself is also seeking protection.

Meanwhile, on Fox News, Outnumbered’s chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst was doing a live recording as the missiles began flying through the sky. He was able to confirm his safety to host Harris Faulkner.

“I need to know that you are in a safe place and can walk away if necessary,” Faulkner said from the studio. “And now we see several objects above where you are now exploding. Take care of yourself. If you need to take a step back, we’ll continue here and come back to you. Trey, take care of yourself and your photographer.”

After the first wave, the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations released a public statement on Twitter.

“Iran’s legal, rational and legitimate response to the Zionist regime’s terrorist attacks – which targeted Iranian nationals and interests and violated the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran – was duly implemented,” the group wrote. “Should the Zionist regime dare to react or commit further malicious acts, there will be a devastating response. Regional states and Zionist supporters are advised to separate from the regime.”

The Iranian attack came after Israeli troops entered Lebanon this week for “limited, localized and targeted” ground attacks.
