Warning: slight SPOILERS ahead The penguin are in the game. If you haven’t started the series yet, you’ve been warned.

One of the greatest gifts to the TV program 2024 must be The penguin. With the HBO limited series currently two out of eight episodes, Colin Farrell’s would-be King of Gotham finds himself in dangerously hot water with the creators of that city’s criminal element. And I don’t think that’s the worst thing that will happen in the Batman Epic Crime Saga mythos, as events suggest that a huge villain may make his debut amidst the chaos in the Batman Epic Crime Saga upcoming DC film The Batman: Part II.

I believe the penguin is preparing to introduce the scarecrow

From the jump, The penguin has brought about a huge change in Gotham City’s drug trade. Not only is the Falcone crime family moving their drops operation to suburban Robbinsville, but their recently deceased son Alberto (Michael Zegen) was also about to launch a new product. That is, until he fired several rounds from a very angry Oswald Cobb (Colin Farrell).

The main concern at the moment seems to be Oz’s desire to pit the Falcone and Maroni families against each other while playing both sides to his advantage. However, details about Alberto Falcone’s pet project lead me to believe that Dr. Jonathan Crane, better known as The Scarecrow, will be introduced to us in the near future.

In just two full episodes and the preview of the third airing next week, there are enough clues for me to get started on this hypothesis.

Alberto Falcone’s “New Kinda High” opens the door to the fear poison

The first episode of The penguinAfter Hours makes Alberto Falcone an addictive character. Alcohol and drops are two vices close to his heart, and the latter is a key part of the family business. So when young Falcone said this: The penguin’s big premiere, my ears pricked up:

That shit is good. But after a while you get curious. There must be something else out there. A new high point. … We’re not just adding ketchup to fries, I’m talking about revolutionizing the game.

So we know for sure that Alberto is tired of the high that drops give him and wants something new. Maybe, in the words of The Dark Knighthe wants a drug that can take him places…even though he might not like where he’s going. This seems to be the only place to go when Drops reports side effects The Batman Universe Wikiare listed as “hyperactivity and paranoia.”

What sensation could top this combination with the ultimate adrenaline rush? In my opinion it would be the fear poison that Dr. Jonathan Crane is known for using it against Gotham in various incarnations Batman Myth.

We still don’t know what this mysterious new drug shipment is

The events of The penguin Launching November 13, 2022, a week after the election night disaster of The Batman. This is confirmed by Alberto Falcone’s gravestone in Episode 2, “Inside Man,” meaning that November 18th isn’t far away for this mysterious new drug shipment.

After the first two chapters about Oswald Cobb’s possible rise to power, we still don’t even know What This new narcotic is accidental. We May got a new clue this week thanks to the preview for Episode 3, “Bliss.” A brief moment in this teaser gives us a glimpse of an unknown liquid in clear bags being carted around in containers at Arkham State Hospital.

If this new drug is marketed under this particular guise, Dr. Jonathan Crane can be found everywhere on this new threat. The fact that we also don’t know who this shipment came from is an even greater chance that this theory will prove valid.

The Penguin was created as part of the story of Batman 2

Some friends I spoke to about 2022 The Batman seem to think that there were too many storylines going on at the same time when reimagining Robert Pattinson. While I don’t particularly agree with this assessment, I do admit that a number of threads have been set up for future projects, and it seems as if those responsible want to avoid such criticism The Batman 2 pretty early.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, The Batman This was announced by producer Dylan Clark The penguin The series began as part of the story of the next movie. Recalling how HBO and Max Content Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys decided to turn this aspect into an entire series, Clark told this story:

The streaming cable spot was a given for some of the bigger characters. Casey was the first to say, “I need a standout character,” and Matt [Reeves] said, “You know, I have a really good idea for Colin for the second movie.” And Casey said, “I want that.” “You can’t just have these characters in the movie room.”

As what we know The Batman: Part II tells us that Colin Farrell’s Oswald will be returning for Robert Pattinson’s next blockbuster, we know he won’t be out of action when we return to the cinema in Gotham. But could this TV-MA rated crime drama take the time to track down Dr. To time Jonathan Crane’s arrival so that he could theoretically appear in the next one? Batman Movie, can it really cause chaos?

The absence of Dr. Jonathan Crane at Penguin doesn’t mean he’s not there

Something else that came to mind with this story is some information we happened to learn in interviews with the show’s director, Craig Zobel. After I learned the reasons why Dr. Jonathan Crane is not in it The penguin, Part of my theory was rejected because I was kind of hoping that Dr. Julian Rush (Theo Rossi) is actually Dr. Crane himself was.

But even if that option may be discounted, as there’s always room for a surprise reveal or two that remains hidden, the door is still very much open for his appearance in the near future. Zobel also says that the series didn’t want to explicitly tie in with the character of the Scarecrow, “in case Matt [Reeves] I wanted to do something with it later.”

This does not mean the basis for his later appearance in The Batman 2or any other project at all is completely off the table. Rather, Dr. Jonathan Crane will be the puppeteer who remains hidden for the time being. Since these practical storylines woven into this mysterious drug shift, the use of Dr. Enabling Crane’s services, there’s the possibility that even the unhinged nature of the “rehabilitated” Sofia Falcone (Cristin Miloti) could act as a catalyst.

The Scarecrow could be the perfect springboard for the Joker’s eventual rise

As we continue to see Barry Keough’s dodge The Batman: Part II QuestionsThe world is still wondering whether Matt Reeves’ version of the Joker will get the chance to threaten Gotham again. That said, I’m still worried that I’ll be returning to this member of the Batman Rogues Gallery soon how Matt Reeves changed my mind when I revisited The Joker.

But if it were to happen, putting Scarecrow in the game first would be a pretty genius decision. Madness, chaos and corruption will continue to transform Gotham City into greater chaos, and Edward Nashton/The Riddler (Paul Dano) has merely lit the fuse. The Joker is intended to be the ultimate counterpart to Batman, serving as his de facto nemesis throughout the comic book and other media canon.

Because Dr. With Jonathan Crane potentially bringing his Fear Toxin to the city in the near future, this conflict could only leave the city more prepared for the Joker to wreak havoc. We are still at the beginning The penguinso this theory could be completely debunked or perhaps only partially correct.

For now, we’ll just have to keep watching the DC limited series unfold, with new episodes dropping every Sunday at 9pm ET on HBO.
