Zachary Quinto was asked if there was a “cutoff” for Star Trek 4 and I love his answer

There are many waiting Star Trek projects, and technically the fourth Kelvin film is one of them. Of course, fans are collectively rolling their eyes at this, because the film has had so many problems over the years that even the latest news about its development this year didn’t get too many people talking. I take that back, Chris Pine said he was confused when he heard it was coming soon, which isn’t exactly a vote of confidence. As time goes on, how does Zachary Quinto feel about something like this happening?

Quinto, who is currently on the 2024 TV schedule with his new NBC series Brilliant mindsspoke to Variety about the possibility that too much time could pass Star Trek 4 happen with the Kelvin line-up. Specifically, is there a limit to when it’s possible in his head? The Spock actor said the following:

There is no cutoff. The original cast made films for decades, well into their 50s and 60s. The stories could be different. On the other planets we may not move as quickly, but I think anything is possible, and I think there’s nothing more fulfilling as an artist than coming back to something after some time and cultivating a relationship with it from a completely different perspective , and a completely new perspective.
