Former soccer star and his husband welcome their first baby

Former Bachelor star and American football player Colton Underwood and his husband Jordan C. Brown recently welcomed their first baby together on Thursday, September 26.

The couple shared photos of their adorable son, Bishop Colton Brown-Underwood, on Instagram.

“Our world is a million times better with you in it. Bishop Colton Brown-Underwood September 26, 2024,” Underwood wrote in his caption, along with photos of the newborn boy.

The photos include a stunning family photo of the couple carrying their little one in a carrier.

The other photos show black and white shots of the newborn baby sleeping soundly and clinging to his father’s finger.

According to PEOPLE, the couple first announced they were expecting a baby via surrogate in an interview with Men’s Health in May 2024.

Underwood and Brown celebrated their first wedding anniversary on May 13 and couldn’t wait to become fathers.

“That was one of the things that brought us together early on in our relationship. We both wanted to be fathers,” Underwood said.

“But it’s been an incredible experience for us to go through this together and I can’t wait to watch Jordan become a father.”

PEOPLE reported that the couple began in vitro fertilization (IVF) and surrogacy two years ago, around the same time they began planning their wedding.

“Our doctor actually had our surrogate tell her, which I thought was really special. She was able to text us and tell us the exciting news, and I think it was a huge moment of relief for us,” the former NFL player said.

“We’re so lucky and lucky to have her, but it was really special that she made us feel like we were a part of it too,” he admitted.

“Everyone was so excited. My family, in particular, knows how long I’ve wanted to be a father and they just know my coming out journey.” [Wanting] Being a father was something that kept me hidden for a long time.

“For me it’s really important and very emotional to be able to say that we are pregnant.”

Underwood, a former “The Bachelor” star and former NFL player, came out as gay in 2021.
