Bose Smart Soundbar vs. Smart Ultra Soundbar: How do these Dolby Atmos bars compare?

Bose soundbars aren’t typically among the best soundbars, but they’re often still worth considering. Its latest model, simply called the Bose Smart Soundbar, will attempt to go one step further. It’s a Dolby Atmos model with AI conversational mode, app control and wireless capabilities, and the price is significantly less than the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar.

This latter model received three stars in our test earlier this year. Although we praised the extensive presentation, it failed due to the tough competition from rival brands. One might assume that this cheaper model is logically worse, but that’s not an assumption we would make: we evaluate on a bang-for-buck basis and often determine this by omitting some features By lowering the price, a brand can make its cheaper models more attractive than its flagship.
