Travis Kelce says in the Resurfaced clip that whoever he dates doesn’t have to come to all of his games

Fans resurfaced the video on social media as they criticized Taylor Swift’s absence from his last two games

Amid questions and concerns over Taylor Swift not attending Travis Kelce’s last two games, fans have resurfaced an old interview in which the NFL star said he doesn’t expect anyone he’s dating to all his football games.

In a resurfaced interview excerpt from a 2016 episode of Kelce’s short-lived dating show: Catch Kelcethe tight end said in one segment: “If you’re dating a professional athlete, at least for me, I don’t think you have to go to all the games.”

“I mean, there are eight home games, eight away games and playoffs. I don’t even expect my parents and my friends to do every single game,” Kelce said at the time.

Fans reposted the clip on social media as some questioned why Swift wasn’t in the stands for Kelce’s last two games, which were both away games in Atlanta and then Los Angeles.

The couple, who have been together since last year, have supported each other numerous times over the course of their relationship – Swift attended 15 games, including Kelce’s Super Bowl victory with the Kansas City Chiefs – and Kelce accompanied her on several stops on the current Eras Tour.

Those same critics also blamed Swift for Kelce’s subpar performance on the field this season, although he bounced back significantly with a breakout performance on Sunday, catching seven passes for 89 yards in the team’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Kelce also made franchise history by becoming the Chiefs’ all-time leader in receptions (917) after his second catch of the day early in the game – surpassing Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ next game against the New Orleans Saints will take place on October 7th.
