Steven Soderbergh’s Ghost Story Horror Film PRESENCE Gets a Haunting Third Teaser Trailer – GeekTyrant

NEON has released a third teaser trailer for the director Steven Soderberghis the ghost story horror film Presentwhich tells a haunting story set in a haunted house.

The trailer is captioned: “She will feel love in this house. In this house she will feel loss. She will be afraid in this house.”

The story follows a family who move into a seemingly peaceful suburban home, only to be struck by the unsettling knowledge that they are not alone.

The film is shot entirely from the perspective of an invisible otherworldly presence that lives in the house. We only see what the ghost sees, and he sees something sinister coming to this already dysfunctional family.

Soderbergh is the film’s cinematographer and plays the ghost in it. Actor Chris Sullivan said: “You start this movie and then you realize it’s Steven running up and down the stairs in martial arts shoes, trying not to make any noise. It’s an incredible dance and a masterpiece of cinematography and direction at the same time.”

In my review of the film I said: “The film has an eerie atmosphere and Soderbergh’s masterful use of a single location creates a sense of claustrophobic dread. “The haunting story unfolds with a sense of unrelenting tension, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats.”

Present will hit theaters in January 2025. The film also stars Lucy Liu, Callina Liang, Eddy Mady, West MulhollandAnd Julia Fox.
