Where does Alabama’s Kalen DeBoer rank among all-time wins against Georgia?

Kalen DeBoer has 108 career wins and 12 losses.

That’s a lot of wins to try and pick a favorite from.

However, it’s not every day that you get to beat Georgia in your first game against an SEC team. And that’s exactly what DeBoer did last Saturday with a 31-24 win against Kirby Smart’s team.

Where does this win rank for DeBoer among all his victories at Alabama, Washington, Fresno State and Sioux Falls (NAIA)?

DeBoer noted that there are “a lot of great ones” to choose from.

“It’s definitely up there because there was certainly extreme ups and downs when it came to the lead, losing the lead and then even in the last two and a half minutes how the game went back and forth,” DeBoer said . “So it’s a big deal. I think the significance of it being our first conference game against a ranked opponent is as important as any given all of those things.”

However, DeBoer has three national championship victories from his time in Sioux Falls. No, these aren’t College Football Playoff championships, but they’re still significant.

“I’m very proud of just winning some national championships and things like that,” DeBoer said. “So this is internal. But this is where my feet are right now. So this is the most important win I’ve ever won and it’s right up there with the top.”

No. 1 Alabama (4-0, 1-0 SEC) next faces Vanderbilt (2-2, 0-1) in Nashville on Saturday (3:15 p.m., SEC Network).
