The ShowRoom and Asbury Park Movie Club present: HITCHCOCK’TOBER

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) – This October The ShowRoom cinemain collaboration with the Asbury Park Movie Club, is pleased to present HITCHCOCK’TOBER – a month-long tribute to Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense. Starting October 9th, viewers can experience four of Hitchcock’s greatest films every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.: Vertigo, Rear Window, The BirdsAnd Psycho. Each screening comes with a special introduction, interesting facts and prizes. Tickets are $15.

Film program:

10/9 – dizziness (1958): In this psychological thriller, a retired detective who suffers from fear of heights becomes obsessed with the wife of an old friend. Cast: Barbara Bel Geddes, Henry Jones, James Stewart, Kim Novak, Tom Helmore

10/16 – rear window (1954): A wheelchair-bound photographer spies on his neighbors from the window of his apartment and suspects that one of them has committed murder. Cast: Grace Kelly, James Stewart, Raymond Burr, Thelma Ritter, Wendell Corey

23.10.- The birds (1963): A peaceful California town is thrown into chaos when unexplained bird attacks terrorize its residents. Cast: Jessica Tandy, Rod Taylor, Suzanne Pleshette, Tippi Hedren, Veronica Cartwright

Known as the “Master of Suspense,” Alfred Hitchcock revolutionized the thriller genre with his unique ability to build suspense and explore psychological depth. His films explore human fears, anxieties and the darker side of human nature, leaving an indelible mark on film history.
