Cole Palmer has become the fourth most productive striker in Europe’s top five leagues since joining Chelsea for £42.5 million in the summer of last year.

The Chelsea star has contributed 31 goals and 19 assists to the Chelsea cause, for a total of 50.

That puts him ahead of stars like Vinicius Jr., Robert Lewandowski and his teammate Nicolas Jackson, and he has three players he hopes to overtake.

Blues boss Enzo Maresca hailed Palmer as the “best player in the Premier League” and after four goals against Brighton he has the world at his feet.

However, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Harry Kane stand in his way – but in what order?

Well, City striker Haaland is just one post ahead with 51.

The Norwegian has scored 45 goals and provided six assists since the start of last season. While he was the Premier League’s top scorer for the second year in a row with 27 goals, that was a decline from his debut season when he scored a record 36.

Second on the list is Mbappe with 59 goals and assists for PSG and Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has scored 48 goals and provided 11 assists, leaving little room to imagine why Los Blancos were so keen to secure his services.

The man who clearly has the edge is Kane from FC Bayern Munich.

Although the 31-year-old is yet to win a trophy with the German giants, his 51 goals and 15 assists brought his total to 66, an impressive performance.

Considering Palmer missed European football last season, it’s remarkable that he can compete with the best, and it’s to his credit that only Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz has as many assists in the top 10 -players in total.

Mohamed Salah is fifth with 44 contributions (29 G, 15 A), while Lewandowski, Ollie Watkins, Wirtz, Vincius Jr. and Lille’s Jonathan David round out the top 10.
