Brentford 1-1 West Ham: Fan views

We asked for your thoughts following Saturday’s Premier League game between Brenford and West Ham.

Here are some of your comments:

Brentford fans

Ian: All I’m saying is don’t miss kick-off. Today a game with two halves. A quick start from Brentford and then the second Brentford goal failed to materialise. Damsgaard is finding his form in the Brentford shirt and will be an asset during our injury problems.

Mark: Three goals in the first minute, resulting in two defeats and a draw. Just not good enough.

Ben: There is 100% lack of a striker who can hit the goal. 19 shots today and only three on goal. New players and coaches need time to settle in, but things need to get going quickly.

Guvnah: I can’t stay on track. Three games in a row with goals in the first minute. I’m looking forward to having a full squad again. But I’ll take a point in a rough game.

West Ham fans

Page: It’s definitely confusing. The increased ownership is positive, the confusion about who should do what is less positive. In my opinion, Kudus was one of our best players in the first half and the only attacking threat. So it was a strange substitution. After 60 minutes we don’t look fit enough. Antonio was ready and so were others. At least Todibo is off to a good start.

Frank: I have no idea what this manager does in training but we might as well have lit a fire and burned £130m. He looks clueless. Aaron Wan-Bissaka thinks he’s a midfielder and doesn’t know how to defend and the whole squad looks a complete mess. European football next year… no chance.

Johnny: To be honest, I’m not sure what our manager is doing. The substitutions are bizarre and we have no form. I think he’s trying to be too clever, Mavropanos at right-back? With Coufal on the bench? Soler for kudu? But apart from that, a point away from home in the Premier League is good. I just wish we had a permanent site. Hopefully that will come in the coming weeks.

Ken: A terrible start but a better performance especially in the second half. We worked hard and had little return. Much better than last but after all the money we’ve spent we should be beating teams like Brentford.
