Diljit Dosanjh tells a Pakistani fan: Borders are created by politicians, Punjabis love everyone

Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is currently touring the UK for his Dil Luminati tour. He recently performed in Manchester to a packed stadium and videos of the concert are circulating online. One of the videos in which Diljit interacts with a fan from Pakistan has particularly grabbed a lot of attention online. In the video, Diljit talks about crossing boundaries and loving everyone.

In the viral video, Diljit presents a gift to his fan on stage and asks him where she is from. After she tells him she’s from Pakistan, the singer says he doesn’t believe borders separate people. For him, borders between countries are exactly what politicians want, not the people of both countries.

He speaks in Punjabi, which translates as: “For me, India and Pakistan are one. Borders are created by politicians, but Punjabis love everyone. People who know Punjabi, be it from any corner of the world, are all the same. Those.” Those who come from India are welcome, but those who come from Pakistan are also welcome.” The singer mentioned that he connects with people through music and not through nationality.

Diljit’s gesture wins the hearts of the crowd, who cheer him loudest.

Previously, videos from Diljit introduces his mother and sister at his concert in Manchester appeared on the Internet. It showed the singer bowing to his mother and telling the crowd that she was his mother. He also informed people that his family came to attend his concert.

After delighting audiences abroad, Diljit Dosanjh will bring his Dil Luminati tour to India in October. He will perform in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh and Guwahati. The singer is scheduled to perform in Delhi on October 26 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

On the film front, Diljit will share screen space with Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan in the patriotic drama Border 2.
