Packers WR Christian Watson was carted to the locker room with an ankle injury

Green Bay Packers receiver Christian Watson was carted from the sideline to the locker room after suffering an ankle injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.

Watson was injured while trying to make a catch on third down. He was bent backwards awkwardly, his left leg and ankle trapped beneath him.

Watson left the field and was examined in the blue medical tent. The Packers then took him to the locker room for further evaluation. It is considered questionable whether he can return.

Jordan Love’s pass intended for Watson was intercepted on the play. The Vikings ended the first quarter with a 14-0 lead and possession.

Watson has five catches for 80 yards and a touchdown through the first three games of the 2024 season.

Watson missed 10 games last season due to hamstring injuries.
