Al Pacino’s favorite Robert De Niro film might surprise you, and it’s a brilliant choice

Al Pacino’s favorite Robert De Niro film might surprise you, and it’s a brilliant choice

Al Pacino And Robert De Niro are often closely linked, as both rose to prominence in the 1970s when the “New Hollywood” movement took over the industry. Both De Niro and Pacino stood out compared to the other leading actors of their generation for their willingness to take risks by playing anti-heroes who would not normally star in a studio film; Pacino created an iconic gangster The Godfatherand De Niro invented the modern cinematic antihero Taxi driver. Based on the number of collaborations they had later in their careers, it is obvious that these two great actors had great respect for each other’s work. While cinephiles may argue about which is the absolute best, Pacino said Angry bull is that De Niro film that “dominates” for him.

Why did Al Pacino love “Raging Bull”?

While De Niro and Pacino had technically appeared in the same film together when they played the lead roles The Godfather: Part IIDue to the film’s separate timelines, they were not seen in any scenes together. However, they may not have had any screen time together by then Michael Mann brought them together heat in 1995, Angry bull had a clear impact on the way Pacino perceived De Niro’s acting abilities. Both actors had taken on controversial characters before, but Jake LaMotta was an abusive, toxic embodiment of the consequences of jealousy and anger. Not only did De Niro’s performance win him the Oscar for Best Actor, but it was so powerful that it even had an impact on the real LaMotta.

The Al Pacino film Cillian Murphy called it one of his “favorite films of all time”

Murphy clearly knows his way around good cinema.

Pacino may have been impressed by the lengths De Niro went to to immerse himself in the role, as it was shocking to see how physically transformative the performance was. In addition to learning how to actually box, De Niro also gained significant weight, which greatly affected his physical and mental well-being. Angry bull was not just another performance for De Niro, but a crucial part of his ongoing collaboration with Martin Scorsesewho had given him his groundbreaking role Medium streets. De Niro was actively involved in the creative process Angry bull He also even got into a bitter feud with the screenwriter Paul Schrader about a controversial scene that was ultimately cut from the film.

Al Pacino and Robert De Niro have a legendary partnership

The respect that De Niro and Pacino have for each other is what made them such great film partnersas they have developed skills that complement each other. The physical transformations De Niro was able to make are simply unprecedented, but Pacino also has a background in theater that allows him to bring even more depth to the characters he played. There was so much hype around the idea of the two stars appearing on screen together that it led to their first meeting heat was immediately hailed as one of the greatest scenes of all time. It’s rare that two actors can hold their own in such an intense moment, because simply by focusing on the dynamics of the performances, Mann managed to create sustained tension.

The relationship between De Niro and Pacinos has come full circle The Irishmanan epic crime saga that Scorsese has been trying to make happen for decades. It was a big deal that Pacino could finally work with Scorsese again, and it also offered him a bit of redemption, since his last collaboration was with De Niro in the 2008 crime drama Just Killing was met with devastating reviews. The Irishman is a deeply thoughtful film that examines the legacy of gangsters, allowing De Niro and Pacino to play younger versions of themselves thanks to advances in computer-generated imagery and digital aging. The Irishman is an amazing tribute to the careers of two of the greatest actors of all time, but it wouldn’t have been possible without De Niro’s performance Angry bull didn’t leave such a lasting impression on Pacino.

Hiker shares frustrating video after destructive trend hits nature reserve: ‘Such a shame’

Hiker shares frustrating video after destructive trend hits nature reserve: ‘Such a shame’

A hiker took to TikTok to express his frustration over trash around Blue Lake, Utah – and called out the organization that supposedly manages the area.

Gloria from the NoBoHoBo TikTok account (@thenobohobos) shared footage of her walk around the body of water, which initially looked stunning, with long grasses and sparkling blue water in the opening shot.

However, as Gloria stood back and looked at the surrounding shore, they pointed out rolled-up old carpets, various pieces of trash, and even a grill.

“It’s really such a shame,” Gloria said, and the video read: “Guys, please pick up your trash!”

Unfortunately, Blue Lake isn’t the only hiking spot littered with other people’s trash. Several social media users are sharing pictures and videos of the trash they encountered while trying to reconnect with nature.

Not only does this spoil the view and spoil otherwise scenic spots, but some people may also spend their day cleaning up the mess instead of reaping the benefits of time outdoors – including exercise and improved mental health.

The ecosystem also suffers when waste is left behind. It could contaminate water sources, be accidentally eaten by living things – causing illness or death that could have serious consequences – or leach harmful chemicals into the soil that could prevent future plant growth.

But while we all have a responsibility to clean up the outdoors, Gloria also criticized the Utah Division of Natural Resources for the inaction of the organization that manages the area.

“It doesn’t look like it turned out very well,” Gloria said.

Other TikTokers were outraged by the scene and pointed out some rules to follow when visiting natural public spaces.

“This is so sad and evil what’s going on with people,” one user said.

“Only take photos, leave only footprints,” another added.

“Every time we go fishing, we end up filling a 30-gallon trash bag,” said one conscientious onlooker.

Browns Fans Express Strong Words for Jimmy Haslam (Video)

Browns Fans Express Strong Words for Jimmy Haslam (Video)

CLEVELAND, Ohio – After a loss Sunday to the Cincinnati Bengals that dropped the Browns’ record to 1-6, fans at Huntington Bank Stadium had strong words for owner Jimmy Haslam.

“Come on Jimmy, everyone blames Deshaun (Watson), but it’s more than just Deshaun. Someone else needs the blame. I think it’s Jimmy and Andrew Berry,” one fan told cleveland.com after the game.

“Are you saying yours is a working class town? Do you think what you do in this stadium is worth it? I’m tired of it!” one fan shouted. At the same time, another fan shouted: “Don’t move!”

Browns fans had mixed reviews about the team owners’ plans to move the team to Brook Park.

“The Browns have to stay here. We don’t need a dome, keep it here!”

Another fan replied: “Jimmy, big fan of moving the Browns to Brook Park. I think it’s better.”

However, there was no confusion about fans’ feelings about the Watson experiment.

“Jimmy Haslam, we are 100% Browns fans, but let go of Deshaun Watson. We don’t need him,” said one.

“Deshaun, recover. Then go somewhere else. “Don’t come back here,” one fan quipped.

A fan reflected on the reaction of Browns fans to Watson as he was carried off the field after suffering a serious injury. “I am very disappointed with the fans. When Deshaun went down, everyone cheered. He probably lost his career. Obviously he did some pretty messed up things, but you don’t celebrate that.”

Watch the video above for plenty of fan reaction to the current state of affairs with the Browns.

Texas volleyball defeats Georgia, extends SEC undefeated streak – The Daily Texan

Texas volleyball defeats Georgia, extends SEC undefeated streak – The Daily Texan

Since joining the SEC, Texas volleyball has been unmatched and unbeatable. The reigning national champions have looked right at home in their new conference, prevailing over their opponents and extending their nine-game winning streak. The team’s most recent win came on Sunday against Georgia, bringing the team’s conference record to 7-0.

It seems like Georgia took over Austin this past weekend. Although the Georgia football team proved to be too much for the Longhorns on the gridiron, they were hard to beat on the field.

Texas took an early lead in the first set, building a lead to as many as ten as they topped the Bulldogs 19-9. Despite the slim chance of a comeback, Georgia battled back and came back with a 15-3 run to beat the Longhorns 25-23. Texas, surprised by the sudden increase in offense, used this wake-up call to keep going throughout the game.

In the second set, the Longhorns took an early lead again and Georgia’s offense rallied again. However, Texas held on and secured the win 25-19. It was the third and fourth sets that saw the best gameplay of the day. A back and forth battle where blocking dictated the game for both teams. Combined, Georgia and Texas produced 29 blocks, 16 of which came from the Longhorns.

Texas, as it has done all year, relied on late rallies and scoring runs to push itself over the finish line and win against its new conference rival. Redshirt sophomore Marianna Singletary was named player of the game, recording a career-high 11 blocks and seven kills on 10 swings. Singletary proved to be crucial, hurting Georgia’s momentum and preventing them from making big gains later in the game.

The game was only the second game Texas had in SEC play in which they failed to defeat their opponent. The only other team so far was Texas A&M, which also won this game 3-1. As they continue to run through the SEC, Texas continues to resemble their old championship style from the last two years.

Once again, Texas’ greatest strength is its depth and ability to rotate and adapt its players in different positions. While star senior Madisen Skinner continues to dominate at the net, she also relies on her teammates.

Texas continues its home schedule for another three games, meeting Texas A&M at home for the second time this season on Wednesday. The game will take place at Gregory Gym at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPNU.

A nurse was accused of transferring ₹50,000 from a 67-year-old patient’s account to his own account using the patient’s UPI details without consent.

Mumbai: A private nurse hired to care for a 67-year-old man was charged on Sunday with transferring money from the ailing man’s account to his own account through an instant mobile payment service app without his knowledge and consent. The police registered the case based on a complaint filed by the man’s son.

Lawsuit filed against nurse over transfer of patient funds

According to police, the complainant Ajai S, 39, lives in Chandivali, Powai along with his wife and elderly parents. His father, who has brain swelling, was admitted to Hiranandani Hospital in Powai for treatment from August 28 to September 7. He was later released and taken home. Since Ajay and his wife both worked in private companies, they hired a nurse from a nursing office in Vikhroli (East) to look after the recovering man.

Nurse Kamlesh Meena was assigned to work from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from September 8 to 21 until the old man’s health improved. The fee for his services was paid to the nursing office where he was employed. While Ajay was going through his father’s bank statement, he noticed this 50,000 was transferred to Meena’s account from his father’s Gpay on September 20. In his complaint, he alleged that Meena took advantage of the father’s illness and discreetly wrote down his UPI PIN and password.

Due to his illness, the elderly man was unable to lodge a complaint, so Ajay contacted the Powai police and lodged a complaint, police said. On Sunday, an FIR was registered against Kamlesh Meena under Section 66 (c) (identity theft) of the IT Act and 306 (theft of property owned by the lord by an employee or servant) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
